Event Safety Alliance at the the Prolight + Sound Show Guangzou 2017

Earlier this week, Event Safety Alliance delivered a seminar in the fringe program at the Prolight + Sound Show  in the southern Chinese metropolis of Guangzhou. Jaime Welton, Technical Director of the Wukesong Arena in Beijing, and Jimmy Chan, Director of Asia Business Development for the ESA, made their presentation: “Safety, a Leading Core Value in Live Events“ for the PLSG Annual Training Course on the first day of the trade show. The presentation was held in English and Chinese.

“In one of the fastest growing markets in the world, with a population of 1,3 billion people, I am very happy the ESA can initiate a safety awareness in this live event industry and to be able to offer basic training with other organizations,” said Jimmy Chan.

Involvement in the event came at the suggestion of ESA affiliate member VPLT, The German Entertainment Technology Association. “VPLT is very supportive of the ESA’s goals, and believed participation at PLSG would be an excellent forum to further the organization’s message ,“ said Randell Greenlee, Director of Policy and International Relations at VPLT. “We look forward to continued collaboration and outreach with the ESA around the globe.”
